The HKSEC is a public business plan competition organised by CUHK promoting the concept of social enterprise and encouraging the participants to incubate their plans with cash awards. Being their Faculty Advisor, I coached on their concept development, project proposals and presentations. The team won a champion cash award of HK$96,000 for incubating their concepts. The team’s concept was built on their group assignment in a subject I taught (SD377 Current Issues in Art & Design Education) in the BA (Hons) in Art & Design in Education programme offered by the School of Design, The HK PolyU. More other groups from the same subject went into the competition as finalists and semi-finalists in subsequent years.
