The Hong Kong Institute of Facility Management (‘HKIFM’), established in 1999, is a non-profit making institution representing local facility management professionals and practitioners. Over the past two decades, the Institute has been promoting professional trade practice as one of the leading disciplines in the management of built assets and facility projects in Hong Kong. The HKIFM also aims at providing opportunities for practitioners from different professional backgrounds to acquire a recognized professional facility management qualification in career advancement.Our annual signature event, ‘Excellence in Facility Management Award (“EFMA”)’, was first organized in 2010, with a view to recognizing various organizations’ delivery of quality service for stakeholders of facility management industry. Over hundreds of trophies and certificates have already been presented to a significant number of outstanding management teams of specialized service sectors, after assessment of their distinguished contributions in accordance with various scoring criteria covering corporate governance and on-site management practice.
In addition, a ‘Theme Award’ is granted annually to organizations with exemplary performance in a specified service aspect of facility management profession. This year’s theme being ‘Smart Technology’, which encourages participating management teams to demonstrate how innovativetechnologies would help enhance overall service standard of nominated facility projects.

Judges will play an important role in evaluating qualified nominations. All necessary pre-screening work will be conducted by the Organizing Committee to ensure the Judging Panel’s effort to be optimized to provide the most fruitful input.
