Liaison officer and language instructor of SHDS2318 Exploring International Relations in the Contemporary World, SHDS2311 Leadership in Practice and SHDS2310 Personal Management
As the liaison officer of the three courses, I was responsible for explaining and managing the process and standards of English Writing (EW) assessment to around 6-8 academic staff members in the Division of LC and visiting lecturers. I was responsible for the standardization process of the feedback reports and grades of the three courses' EW component. I also assisted in updating the EW materials (e.g. combined cover page, genre guide, self-study online tutorial, action points, standardization tasks, etc) which were first developed by PolyU ELC and were then adopted and modified by LC and SPEED under an agreement being reached with PolyU ELC, provided that proper acknowledgement has been made.
In both semesters, I was the language instructor for SHDS2310 Personal Management. As a language instructor, I was responsible for giving two feedback reports, addressing issues in their essay’s structure, referencing and grammar, on students’ first and second draft essay. In addition, two consultations were arranged respectively for each draft report for students to raise questions on their essays.
