Description

Prof. ZHANG is a leading literary scholar in Modernism and a dedicated educator in English language and literature at the prestigious Fudan University, Shanghai, China. She has published extensively with world-class journals and publishers, and has been the holder of several important research grants both home and abroad. Her experience in applying for grants domestically and internationally is invaluable for CPCE’s colleagues in their grant applications and publications.

During her visit to the Division of Languages and Communication, she gave 3 seminars, namely "Reshaping the Self across Cultural Boundaries: Yan Fu, Dickinson, and Ruskin", “The New Economy and the Old Morality”: British Liberalism in Transition", and "Teaching, Research, and Academic Life", covering a wide range of historical study, high modernism, and the practical tips of being a teacher-scholar. She also had individual consultations online with our colleagues who are interested in developing research and publications.
