Description

Management Learning Circle (MLC) sessions are organised for all 1,340 students of BHMH2004 in the semester in the evenings. The MLC with 7 voluntary evening review sessions is on-going in the current semester. MLC should be on-going in the next semester.

oAt the 2nd Staff Meeting of 2018/19 which was held on Saturday, 16 February 2019 (SM/21819/M53), Dr Helen Wong, Division Head, expressed gratitude to Ms Jennifer Leong and her team for supporting the Management Learning Circles of BHMH2004 Managing Organisations.

oThese MLC sessions are well attended by a good number of students in this semester. They all seem to be impressed with the long review sessions. This is not the first time students found MLC useful.

oFor instance, A Stage 2 8C121-EM student representative commented MLC positively at the Student/Staff Consultative Group meeting of S2, 2018/19. She said that attending MLC and using Study Guide helped her to improve her studies.

oAlso, according to the Notes of the 10th meeting of the Student/Staff Consultative Group (SSCG/10/N12) held on 3rd March, 2017, Student representatives provided positive comments at the SSCG.

A stage one student representative of FIN programme taking CCN2004 (previous code of BHMH2004) in Semester One 2016/17 reported that he had attended the MLC. He found that the walk-in review sessions were helpful in preparing his assignment.

Similarly, a stage two student representative of HR programme also found that the MLC was very useful. It provided extra consultation sessions for students to ask questions and reinforce the concepts taught in class (page 8 of SSCG/10/N12).

oMLC is highly effective in helping students to preview or review materials.
