Dr Calvin Cheng is a Senior Lecturer, Programme Leader of BBA (Hons) in Marketing Management, Assistant Programme Leader of Associate in Business (Marketing), and Examination Officer (Academic) for Degree Programmes at PolyU CPCE. He is a Research Fellow of the Hong Kong College of Community Health Practitioners. Dr Cheng obtained his BA in Marketing (with First Class Honours) from PolyU and Master of Economics from The University of Hong Kong. He received his Doctor of Business Administration from the University of Newcastle, Australia. Dr Cheng is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Marketing (HKIM) and an associate member of The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). Prior to joining PolyU CPCE, Dr Cheng was a marketing staff of a multinational corporation. He also held different positions in the PolyU proper and the Vocational Training Council. He has gained solid experience in marketing.
His researches have been published in peer-reviewed international journals (including SJR Q1 and Q2 ones) and conferences. He has also obtained a FDS research grant from UGC, a research fund from Department of Justice, and several external and internal research funds with his research teams.
Research interests
Consumer behaviour, services marketing, green advertising, brand management, relationship marketing, learning and teaching in higher education, strategic management, supply chain management, entrepreneurship and health care.
