Research interests

Dr Zhu Pan obtained her Bachelor's degree in Chinese Language and Literature and her Master's degree in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics from Shanghai Normal University. Afterwards, she earned her Master's degree in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language and her Doctorate in Applied Language Sciences from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Before joining PolyU CPCE, Dr Zhu taught Chinese courses for non-Chinese speakers at Shanghai Normal University and Tsinghua University. Her research interests include Chinese vocabulary and grammar, cognitive linguistics, and teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Currently, she teaches subjects in Business Communication in Chinese, Advanced Putonghua for Professional Communication and Chinese Character and Chinese Culture.
