Exploring the Multidimensional Role of Service-Learning Subject Teachers: An Ethnographical Study in a Self-financed Institution in Hong Kong

Project Details

Description

This study focuses on the practices of SL subjects a self-finance institution, which aims to make SL a compulsory requirement for its undergraduate students in 2025/2026. It adopts a case study approach with ethnographic elements such as autoethnography, semi-structured interview, on-site visits, and analysis of subject artefacts (Eyler et al., 2001; Hayler & Williams, 2020). This multi-method approach will provide this study with critical insights into SL teachers’ experiences, beliefs, and practices.
