Abstract

The cruise industry has under transformation in the “Belt and Road” initiative (BRI). To a certain extent, it fosters the expansion of cruise shipping networks and capacity in the forthcoming years. This book chapter aims to review the current development of the cruise industry, investigate the BRI policy relevant to the cruise industry, and identify and evaluate the possible cruise itinerary along BRI. This study may give valuable information for academic researchers to develop further research and for industrial practitioners to formulate the appropriate strategies in such an emerging region.
