Abstract
Over the past decades, numerous investigations have been conducted to study different aspects of organic food and genetically modified (GM) food. In addition, there are also significant amounts of studies on green diet as part of the global green movement. It is of significance to get updated information and consolidation of research findings regarding these food categories. In this chapter, developments on organic food and GM food will be reviewed, followed by a highlight of the health implications and importance of a green diet. Recommendations and implications for research and policy on these food categories are also described.
