Abstract
After few years of hibernation in Hong Kong tourism industry, the tourism industry resumes to normal again. However, are residents eager to see them after 3 year of silence? Therefore, this research aims to investigate if there are any changes on residents’ perceptions towards tourism before and after the pandemic. Two hundred and forty-three respondents were recruited, and the findings were analyzed using PLS-SEM. Age, ethnic identity, community attachment and trust in government of respondents have influenced their perceptions towards tourism. Relevant implications are drawn for the key stakeholders in Hong Kong tourism industry.
