Abstract

This book has focused on the relationship between environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and sustainable development in healthcare. Particular emphasis has been put on the association of ESG with Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3), which aims to promote good health and well-being. SDG 3 includes thirteen targets which cover a variety of important goals regarding sustainable health. The targets address critical issues, such as population health, communicable and non-communicable diseases, health insurance, essential medicine and vaccines, accessible and equitable healthcare services, as well as a clean environment for good health and wellness. Each chapter in this book discusses relevant issues with perspectives from ESG and sustainable development in healthcare.
